Who doesn’t enjoy a bit of magic?

The incredible Billy Reid has been amazing audiences with his close up and cabaret shows around Glasgow for years, and asked me to come along to document his first theatre show, Carousel. Over a couple of hours, Billy and his friends held the audience in complete amazement while they plied their trade from the stage.

Shooting a live show like this, you have to walk a line between getting the best images that you can, without being detrimental to the audience’s experience. And on this occasion, just try your best to take photos while wondering how the hell he’s doing what he’s doing.
