Rodel, South Harris
The old church at Rodel on South Harris fairly reeks of history. It’s a postcard perfect place to visit and when the light is good, as it was on this evening, it’s a joy to photograph. I was quite happy mooching around the field next door to the church checking out my angles and trying to find my composition for a while before setting up my tripod. As I did, these sheep came wandering over too see what I was up to.
That’s the sort of thing you’d expect from walkers, or tourists, or even cows, but not from sheep!
They had a good sniff around, seemed content that I wasn’t up to much of any great interest and wandered off again. A slightly bizarre interruption to an otherwise normal Hebridean sunset.
